Computing in Year 3

We have been learning about algorithms (a set of instructions). We have been using specific code for LOGO to draw shapes. We walked our shapes out on the playground with our partners, to help us write an accurate algorithm. Some of us had to debug our code and think about the direction we had to turn to make our shapes join up.

From this, we then used our algorithms and inputted it into the computers on LOGO. We worked well in pairs and had some good discussions about why we thought our ideas would work.

 Once we had drawn lots of different shapes we had a go at debugging Miss Hayter's code. We worked together to debug and edit the code. We then tested out our new and improved algorithm in LOGO and it worked!
